BK Medical releases ultrasound system

BK Medical, a wholly owned subsidiary of Analogic, has launched the Pro Focus UltraView ultrasound system with its new IQPAC technology for the surgical and urological ultrasound markets.

The Copenhagen, Denmark-based company said its IQPAC technology combines BK’s  tissue definition and angular compound imaging technologies to optimize the ultrasound image. Tissue definition intensifies borders by minimizing speckle, and angular compound imaging uses images from several angles to create a compound image. The UltraView system also features a 19-inch  high-definition monitor scalable image size and a sealed keyboard.

The UltraView is compatible with specialized transducers, including convex and linear array, bi-plane and tri-plane, and contrast-imager-enabled transducers for urological and surgical applications, BK said.
