Cardiovascular Sciences nets $1M in financing

Cardiovascular Sciences, a technology company focused on the development of medical products, has secured a capital investment of $1 million from Seven Palm Investments.

Larry Hooper, CEO of Cardiovascular Sciences, said the Illinois-based Seven Palm may invest even more in the company.

The investment will allow the Orlando-based company to develop its products more rapidly and enter the marketplace within the next two years, Hooper said.

Cardiovascular Sciences, a client of the University of Central Florida’s (UCF) Technology Incubator, has partnered with the UCF’s department of chemistry on technology to prevent adhesions during surgery.
