Carrano joins GE Healthcare

GE Healthcare has appointed William Carrano, an ultrasound industry veteran, to its general imaging ultrasound business team as vice president, strategic business management. In his new role, Carrano will lead and manage long-term customer relationships at U.S. healthcare facilities and be a key contributor to the company's long-term ultrasound strategy and vision, according to GE.

Carrano started his career almost 30 years ago in ultrasound engineering. Most recently, he was the divisional vice president for Siemens Healthcare medical ultrasound organization in the United States, including the marketing organization, sales distribution channels, strategic and tactical marketing and national account development. In addition to several other leadership roles at Siemens, he served in key management roles at Acuson, Toshiba America Medical Systems, and has had vast experience in imaging new product development and marketing, as well as experience in U.S. and international new market development, sales and distribution.
