Clario Medical Imaging announces deals with Confirma and Invivo

Clario Medical Imaging announced the signing of agreements with Confirma, Inc. and Invivo Corp. to integrate Clario's z3D technology into their respective CAD systems. The optional software feature will provide advanced tools for visualization of MRI studies. Under the agreement, Confirma and Invivo will license and distribute Clario's z3D Contrast Acuity software to their customers. z3D Contrast Acuity is currently available for investigational use only.

The MRI segment has shown positive growth rates for the past decade and is expected to show double-digit growth through 2010, Clario said. These studies contain a high number of images which must be visually and qualitatively interpreted by trained physicians. While studies have been increasing, the number of radiologists has remained relatively constant. As a result, interpretation time has become a problem for the healthcare system.
