CMIO Survey says: CPOE will be biggest HITECH challenge

What will be the biggest challenge for your organization when it comes to achieving HITECH’s goals?

Respondents said:

  • Implementing CPOE/attaining required usage levels: 27 percent
  • Confusion/conflicting requirements: 26 percent
  • Financing system changes required: 19 percent
  • Demonstrating evidence-based best practices: 13 percent
  • Obtaining qualified personnel: 7 percent
  • Other (systems integration, information exchange, workflow/culture change): 7 percent
