CML Healthcare acquiring Northeastern imaging centers for $11.7M

CML HealthCare has agreed to acquire two medical imaging operations consisting of six centers in the Northeastern United States for CAD12.3 million ($11.69 million U.S.), including cash and assumption of capital leases.

The imaging operations include the Imaging Institute in Providence, R.I., and the Quarry Lake Imaging Center in Baltimore. The Quarry Lake acquisition closed July 31, and the Imaging Institute closing is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter.

In addition, the Mississauga, Ontario-based CML has also entered into a joint venture agreement with Upper Chesapeake Health System to operate a new multi-modality medical imaging center in Bel Air, Md. The center was opened in August.
