Deadline today for meaningful use comments

Today is the last day for public comment to be accepted on two regulations that attempt to lay a foundation for meaningful use of certified EHR technology.

A proposed rule issued by CMS outlined proposed provisions governing the EHR incentive programs, including defining the central concept of “meaningful use” of EHR technology. The Interim Final Rule issued by ONC set initial standards, implementation specifications and certification criteria for EHR technology.
