Elekta acquires Impac

After announcing its intent to merge in late January, Elekta AB this week finalized its acquisition of Mountain View, Calif.-based Impac Medical Systems Inc. Impac in now a wholly owned subsidiary of Elekta.
   
Under the terms of the agreement and plan of merger, Elekta will pay USD 24.00 in cash for each share of IMPAC common stock outstanding. Impac's common stock is no longer trading on the NASDAQ National Market, Elekta said.
