EMC unveils new suite of information management services

EMC Corp. this week rolled out a set of storage services designed to help customers plan, build and manage an integrated information technology infrastructure to more cost-effectively manage and protect information throughout its lifecycle.

The portfolio aims to help customers reduce operational costs and risk, achieve compliance, and improve availability by managing information.

The new offerings include ILM (information lifecycle management) Workshops to help customers understand the basics of an infrastructure that enables management of information from creation through archiving or disposal. The free workshops are conducted at a customer site or at EMC.

Also new is ILM Assessment Services to help customers validate the potential benefits of information lifecycle management. Each assessment is designed to be completed in four to six weeks and results in an ILM roadmap.
