eMed updates PACS

eMed Technologies recently released the next generation of its PACS, eMed Matrix Version 2.0.

Version 2.0 expands the current Matrix feature set to include integrated slab MPR capabilities, teaching files, image triangulation, integrated voice dictation and the ability to create dynamic 3D key images to enhance peer-to-peer communication, eMed said.  The system is built on the Smart Client technology of Microsoft .NET.

eMed Matrix enables radiologists to perform diagnostic reading both in a LAN and WAN environment including at home or outlying facilities, for improved workload balance across distributed resources.
