FDA clears Siemens’ two-detector DR system

The latest version of Siemens Healthcare’s Multix Fusion digital radiography system has received 510(k) clearance from the FDA and is now available in the U.S.

The system is similar to its predecessor that was introduced in 2012, except the latest version is a two-detector system, which the company said is designed for facilities with high patient throughput. It also includes a height-adjustable table with a 660-pound weight capacity and a touch screen for parameter changes at the patient’s side.
