FDA clears Toshiba's MR interface

The FDA has approved Toshiba America Medical Systems’ M-Power MR system user interface.

Tustin, Calif.-based Toshiba said the M-Power interface reduces the number of steps necessary to start a procedure and includes the Atlas Compass software to control coil elements as well as the mVOX 3D volume imaging application.

M-Power will be available for use on Toshiba’s Vantage Atlas, Vantage Titan 1.5 and Titan 3T MR systems with an upgrade path for previously installed systems.
