Fluke submits defibrillator selectable load accessory to FDA

Fluke Biomedical has requested 510(k) clearance to the FDA for the Impulse 7010 defibrillator selectable load accessory, a product that tests defibrillators beyond 175 ohms.

In conjunction with the currently available Impulse 7000DP defibrillator/external pacer analyzer, the company said that the release of the Impulse 7010 could support defibrillator performance through the spectrum of patient impedances.

The Cleveland-based Fluke said its tool provides the capability to test defibrillators from 25 ohms to 200 ohms.
