Former ACR chair elected treasurer of ISR

The International Society of Radiology (ISR) has elected James P. Borgstede, MD, FACR, former chair of the ACR board of chancellors, as treasurer.

He is the first American radiologist to serve as an ISR officer since former ACR president Joseph A. Marasco Jr., MD, FACR, who served in officer positions as president, secretary treasurer and past president from 1989 to 2001, according to the ACR.

Borgstede, who is vice chair of the radiology department at the University of Colorado in Boulder, has served as ACR chair, president of the ACR, chair of the ACR Economics Commission, as well as several other leadership roles within the College.
