Fujifilm Medical Systems awarded CR pact from VA

Fujifilm Medical Systems USA Inc. has received an order from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) for the company's computed radiography (CR) devices.

Fuji said the value of the contract is several million dollars. Thirteen individual VA medical centers have purchased a total of 23 Fuji SmartCR and FCR 5000 systems, as well as a number of DryPix dry laser imagers.

Set apart by its small foot print, image quality and high speed, the Smart CR is designed for departments or exam rooms with limited space. The FCR 5000 systems is equipped with a four-cassette stacker and operates with a three-step exam processing and throughput of up to 150 imaging plates per hour.
