Fujifilm to release Synapse ProSolv Cardiovascular application

Dec. 6 – As a result of Fujifilm’s acquisition of ProSolv CardioVascular in January, the company debuted the Synapse ProSolv CardioVascular application at the 93rd annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) last week in Chicago.

The solution enables radiologists to access all cardiology images and information while working within Synapse, while conversely cardiologists can access all Synapse radiology data—all from one workstation, with a single sign-on and familiar user interface.

The Synapse ProSolv CardioVascular application will be commercially available in the first quarter of 2008. Other benefits of the integrated Synapse ProSolv CardioVascular application include:
  • Complete web-based viewing and reporting capabilities using web communication protocols secured via SSL;
  • Workflow and clinical advantages for all users—administrative and clinical;
  • Shared infrastructure and cost savings for the facility, such as access to Fujifilm’s Managed Services including active monitoring and disaster recovery; and
  • Cardiology access to Fujifilm’s patented compression and CommonView technologies.
The Synapse ProSolv CardioVascular application is available with ProSolv’s version 4.0, which will be available in the first quarter of 2008. The product was shown as a works-in-progress at RSNA, and ProSolv’s version 4.0 offers viewing and reporting enhancements for cardiac catheterization and echocardiography. Newly added resting ECG and Holter management support delivered by ProSolv’s OpenECG integration provides ready access to the exams.
