FujiFilm releases portable flat panel DR solution

FujiFilm Medical Systems USA introduced its flat panel DR cassette, the FDR D-EVO, at the 2010 American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) annual meeting. The FDR D-EVO offers a lightweight portable flat panel detector design that enables clinicians to image joints, bone and soft tissue in seconds, said the Stamford, Conn.-based company.

FujiFilm said that its solution will aid orthopedic practices in transitioning to DR because it requires no modification to the existing radiographic room.
