gMed nets 2007 conditional CCHIT certification
The Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT) has granted gMed pre-market, conditional certification for its gCare Version 4.0, stating gCare meets the commission’s ambulatory EHR criteria for 2007.
Pre-market, conditionally certified EHRs are new products that are fully certified once their operational use at a physician office site has been verified, according to CCHIT.
As a CCHIT-certified product, gCare Version 4.0 has been tested and passed inspection of 100 percent of a set of updated criteria for functionality, interoperability and security, the Weston, Fla.-based gMed said.
