Hitachi Echelon 1.5T users receive free features with software update

Hitachi Medical Systems America is now providing its Echelon 1.5T users the VASC non-contrast MRA sequence and a new Fast Spin Echo capability, at no charge, along with software update 1.4C.

VASC provides an alternative to bolus MRA for patients with renal insufficiency, while the primeFSE feature enables Fast Spin Echo imaging in the presence of prostheses or implants, according to the company.

Additional enhancements include:
  • NATURAL algorithm, which balances signal uniformity for multi-channel coil imaging, promoting image quality and radiologist ease of use; and
  • Faster dynamic scan reconstruction, which promotes reduced patient study time for multiphase dynamic studies.
