iCAD, Fischer Imaging broaden development agreement

iCAD Inc. and Fischer Imaging Corp. have expanded their joint development and distribution agreement to include iCAD's new iAD product.

The FDA-cleared iAD is designed to allow women to access computer-aided detection (CAD) screenings of their mammograms at breast imaging centers where both traditional film and digital technologies are used.

The initial agreement between the two companies covered the iCAD iDM with the Fischer SenoScan digital mammography system. The new pact includes the iCAD iAD, which will cover both digital and traditional analog applications.
