iCRco wins NIH grant for CR research

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has awarded iCRco partner Vixar a Phase I small business innovation research grant to develop a red VCSEL array assembly for the readout of images in CR systems. 

The monetary value of the grant was not disclosed.

The Plymouth, Minn.-based Vixar is developing the new technology for use in CR systems, and is collaborating with Torrance, Calif.-based iCRco to evaluate the potential of the technology for the digital x-ray imaging market.
