Initiate Systems given nod for data sharing initiative in UK

Initiate Systems Inc., a provider of enterprise master person index (EMPI) software and services for managing patient and provider identities, has been selected by United Kingdom-based Manchester Mental Health and Social Care Trust to manage quality for a data sharing initiative.

The Initiate JumpStart service will be used to analyze all available data to provide insight on quality and consistency, and to remove duplicate information.

Manchester Mental Health and Social Care Trust are partaking in the National Program for Information Technology, an initiative to combine all patient data across the UK and connect general practices, hospitals and chemists, to increase sharing of records for the National Health Service (NHS). Completion of the project is expected within the next few years.
