InnerWireless adds Philips family compatability

InnerWireless has added compatibility between InnerWireless’ Horizon Distributed Antenna System and Philips Healthcare’s family of IntelliVue telemetry system with smart-hopping technology.

According to the Richardson, Texas-based InnerWireless, Horizon supports Philips’ IntelliVue smart-hopping technology which maintains connections between the central station and telemetry and bedside monitoring devices to provide patient care.

InnerWireless’ layered spectrum-assignment technology and segment-based coverage provides integration for lower-powered radio sources, such as the Philips IntelliVue telemetry product line. The Horizon platform, according to InnerWiresless, can deliver and support wide-area and local-area wireless services, including 3G and 4G cellular and whole-house multi-frequency medical telemetry.

Working in conjunction with Philips, InnerWireless was the first DAS vendor to successfully integrate and deploy the Philips medical telemetry application on a DAS, said InnerWireless.
