InSite One, IBM partner to create medical storage environment

InSite One has certified IBM as a distribution partner, allowing commercial installations of IBM storage technology to become part of its medical archiving and data recovery services.

The Wallingford, Conn.-based InSite One said the partnership will provide technologies to assist hospitals, imaging centers and physician group practices in active archiving and managing medical imaging data. Additionally, the storage environment will support Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) profiles-based information exchange.

Currently, there are eight initial client sites being installed and 30 client sites that will be deployed, according to the companies.
