Kodak, Heartlab ink marketing/reseller agreement

Eastman Kodak Co. will market Heartlab Inc.'s Encompass line of cardiac image and data management systems along with the Kodak DirectView PACS System 5.

In addition, the agreement allows Heartlab to market Kodak's DirectView PACS System 5 and resell Kodak's DirectView Versatile Intelligent Patient Archive (VIParchive) software. VIParchive software provides centralized management of images and information associated with clinical systems such as radiology and cardiology, as well as back office systems including purchasing, inventory and other records systems.

The agreement provides medical imaging and information management tools that facilitate enterprise-wide management of radiology and cardiology data, the entities said. An integrated system with Heartlab's image management software for cardiology with the data management capabilities of Kodak's PACS system can meet the needs of a broad set of healthcare providers.
