Konica CR mammo upgrade gains Canadian clearance

Health Canada has approved the Xpress CR Digital Mammography upgrade from Konica Minolta Imaging for sale in Canada.

The Xpress CR Digital Mammography upgrade provides high-quality images with a cesium-bromide phosphor receptor, which delivers significant detective quantum efficiency (DQE), according to the Wayne, N.J.-based Konica.

The Xpress CR Digital Mammography upgrade is currently going through a similar approval process with the FDA and is not yet for sale in the United States, the company said.
