MedForce Scan gains prelim CCHIT ARRA certification
MedForce Technologies’ document management software, MedForce Scan, has received preliminary American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) certification as an EHR Module following inspection by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT).
The Chestnut Ridge, N.Y.-based company said its MedForce Scan 7.0.2 has been inspected by the CCHIT and is a certified EHR module, preliminarily meeting five of 24 requirements for eligible providers published by Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) in the interim final rule of January. For the purpose of qualifying products for ARRA incentives, CCHIT anticipates, but has not yet received, accreditation by HHS.
MedForce Scan is a HIPAA-compliant software offering the ability to scan patient records, create/import electronic forms, import faxes and integrate with billing software, the company added.
