Medifico debuts ultrasound that measures brain blood flow
Medifico, a new medical equipment company, has launched the Brainvue-TCD 1000, which uses ultrasound technology to non-invasively measure blood flow in the brain.
“The Brainvue-TCD is designed to aid in the diagnosis, prevention, intervention, and treatment of strokes, migraines, concussions, sickle cell disease and other neurological disorders,” said Bill Medina, Medifico founder and president.
As a portable, hand-held, battery-operated unit, the Brainvue-TCD 1000 can also be used for soldiers in battle, as well as athletes prone to head injuries, according to the Lancaster, Pa.-based company.
