Medtronic opens Texas diabetes center

Medtronic has opened the doors to its new Diabetes Therapy Management and Education Center in San Antonio, which the company said will provide education and care for diabetes patients and their physicians.

The Minneapolis-based Medtronic said the center will offer guidance and patient-care for those using Medtronic insulin pumps, and glucose monitoring and therapy management software. According to the company, the center will allow for the hiring of nearly 1,400 employees within the next five years.
