Merge eFilm releases referring practice portal

Merge eFilm this week launched its FUSION Referring Practice Portal, a web portal designed to integrate within Merge eFilm's FUSION RIS (radiology information system) and RIS/PACS (picture archiving and communications system). This module provides real-time access to reports and associated images from within the RIS/PACS or via the Web.

The Referring Practice Portal grants imaging referral practices instant access to the exam and appointment status, as well as an emergency referral capability for hospitals and clinics in emergency situations. Other features include HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) supportive security and auditing features, and customizability, Merge eFilm said.
