MRS debuts new mammo tracking, reporting system version

Mammography Reporting System (MRS) has released version 6.7 Enhanced of its Mammography Reporting and Tracking System.

MRS said the software now has three risk assessment models which will automatically alert radiologists of a patient's risk of breast cancer.

The first evaluates a patient's risk of breast cancer in the next five years based on guidelines from the National Cancer Institute (NCI). A different algorithm calculates a patient's lifetime risk based on NCI findings. A hereditary risk assessment uses guidelines from the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN), American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the American Society of Breast Surgeons (ASBS) to determine a high risk hereditary background that could prompt increased surveillance or hereditary testing.

Additionally, reports created in MRS can now be exported to a PDF file. The new version also offers five new integrations with systems from GE Healthcare, McKesson, Aspyra and Connect Imaging. MRS 6.7 Enhanced also includes a new feature that allows integration with more than one system on each workstation.

The Seattle-based company said that a free upgrade is available to current customers with up-to-date user support.
