NEC unveils new 30-inch, 4MP display

NEC Display Solutions of America, a provider of commercial and residential LCD, plasma monitors and projectors, has released its 30-inch MultiSync MD304MC widescreen display, designed for the demanding needs of medical diagnostic professionals.

The 4-megapixel color display is certified for radiology and emergency room environments, and includes patented technologies, according to the Itasca, Ill.-based company.

The company said the MD304MC has a native resolution of 2560 x 1600. The widescreen LCD has portrait or landscape orientation and is wide enough to compare side-by-side patient images.

NEC said its display features ColorComp, which reduces LCD uniformity errors and compensates for differences in color/grayscale and luminance and backlight technology. NEC's patented X-Light Pro backlight system for DICOM GSDF conformance and self-correcting consistent brightness over the useful life of the monitor also are included.
