New agreement broadens ContextVision's customer reach

ContextVision has inked a multi-year, multi-million dollar licensing agreement with Esaote S.p.A. (Bracco Group) of Italy.

The Canadian-based company will provide Esaote with its GOPView US imaging enhancement software for ultrasound radiology applications. Although specific terms of the transaction have not been disclosed, both companies say that engineering work to incorporate GOPView US technology into Esaote's products already has been initiated.

"ContextVision now offers its customers a full line of imaging enhancement products, encompassing all the important imaging modalities: MRI, ultrasound and X-ray," says ContextVision President and CEO Jan Erik Hedborg. "As such, the company's operational focus will change in 2004 from research and development to distribution, marketing and sales."
