New version of Voxar 3D integrated into Agfa's Impax PACS

Agfa Healthcare has integrated Voxar's viewing software -- Voxar 3D version 4.2 - into the Agfa Impax PACS.

Agfa says the integration of unlimited, site-wide 3D viewing technology in Impax will improve radiologists' workflow efficiency and treatment planning capabilities.

The new version of Voxar 3D is designed to integrate positron emission tomography (PET) visualization functionality through fast image processing and one-click processes, such as 2D, MIP, MPR and 3D visualization, simultaneous comparison of PET and CT images, as well as state-of-the-art image enhancement and measurement tools.

This pact also extends the companies' global distribution agreement signed in the fourth quarter of 2003.
