Pediatrix completes acquisition of New Mexico cardiology practice

Pediatrix Medical Group has completed the acquisition of Pediatric Cardiology Associates of Albuquerque, N.M., a pediatric physician group practice.

The practice has four physicians, as well as clinical and administrative support staff, provides pediatric cardiology services, including echocardiography, electrocardiography and interventional catheterization, at its office and outreach clinics across the state.

The Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Pediatrix said the group joined them in response to increased patient care demand in its community, as well as a desire to add clinical and administrative infrastructure.

Pediatrix purchased Pediatric Cardiology Associates with a cash acquisition.
