Philips, AWHONN partner for patient safety and perinatal risk reduction
Philips Medical Systems and the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Consulting Group today announced that they have signed a joint agreement to distribute AWHONN's Perinatal Risk Assessment Survey (PRAS).
According to Philips, AWHONN's PRAS investigates the processes, practices, and relationships that can contribute to an at-risk patient environment and provides a comprehensive analysis and set of confidential recommendations for decreasing those risks. It is designed to assist perinatal and neonatal units and staff with the early identification of areas prone to medical errors and to make recommendations that may minimize the potential errors in the future.
