Philips gives technologists a boost with e-learning

Philips Medical Systems and the America Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) will provide educational opportunities to the radiologic technologist community.

The pair has formed a partnership that extends Philips e-learning to technologists by offering courses to ASRT members using the Philips Online Learning Center through a licensing agreement.

The Philips Online Learning Center provides more than 100 CE (continuing education) products available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and customizes training based on an individual member's specialty. Philips e-learning tool has five years under its belt, covering a range of topics including CT, MRI, ultrasound and general anatomy.

Philips Online Center has more than 30,000 registered users and awarded more than 15,000 CE certificate in 2003. The partnership will be showcased at the 2004 ASRT/AERS (Association of Educators in Radiological Sciences) Annual Conference from June 11-15 in Dallas.
