Philips Healthcare

Philips Healthcare (Booth 7713) is displaying clinical tools for catheterization labs performing both cardiac and vascular interventions, such as the Allura 3D Coronary Angiography and StentBoost as well as several new features on the Allura Xper FD 20. A few surprises in CT are under wraps until showtime.

The DoseAware display extends x-ray dose management to the physician’s field of view, giving a clear indication of the amount of time remaining to image any particular region of the patient’s thorax before dose thresholds are exceeded, Philips says.

The new Xper Table features automatic position control to increase accuracy and speed workflow, while the Xper Cradle allows interventionalists or surgeons to roll the patient while keeping the region of interest in the isocenter.

In addition, the company is showcasing its Xper Information Management, a workflow solution that can interface with the hospital admissions database to auto-populate the patient’s demographic information into the patient record.

In CT, the company is unveiling some of the secrets inside the Brilliance iCT platform that enable improvements in image quality and dose management. This advancement in CT technology is being showcased through Philips clinical partners who have experience with more than 10,000 exams to date.

In MRI, Philips is introducing a 32-channel cardiac coil for both the Achieva 1.5T and 3.0T systems.
