Philips Medical Systems acquires The R.P. Kincheloe Co.

Philips Medical Systems' sales and service organization is expanding in Texas and Oklahoma.

The company on Sept. 18 announced its acquisition of certain assets of The R.P. Kincheloe Co., based in Dallas. Philips's North American sales and service business unit now will begin direct sales and customer support activity in Texas and Oklahoma.

Philips and Kincheloe have had a business relationship for several decades, with Kincheloe marketing and servicing Philips' medical imaging equipment in the two states.

Randy Dobbs, president and CEO of Philips Medical Systems North America, said the transition to a direct sales and service role in Texas and Oklahoma "is part of an ongoing company reorganization to improve efficiencies, while continuing to provide customers a high degree of service."
