Premier members gain access to Siemens oncology products

Siemens Medical Solutions has announced that its Oncology Workflow Solutions are the basis of a three-year contract with Premier Purchasing Partners L.P., which begins September 1 and ends August 31, 2007. The 200-plus hospitals and healthcare systems that make up the Premier membership now will have access to Siemens oncology products, including linear accelerator technologies and radiation therapy software tools.

The new, three-year contract for oncology systems complements a recently announced contract between Siemens and Premier that covers imaging and radiology products and services.

According to Siemens, Premier members will have access to Siemens oncology workflow solutions, which encompasses the Oncor Linear Accelerator, Optifocus Multileaf Collimator and Optivue Amorphous Silicon Imaging systems. Software components include Coherence workspaces.
