RSNA: Vidar reveals updated DICOM acquisition software

Vidar Systems, a medical film digitizer technology company, is introducing its DICOM acquisition software for general radiography and mammography – ClinicalExpress 5.0 at the 96th annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) in Chicago, Nov. 28 to Dec. 3.

New features of the software include a paper scanning option for mammography, and updates to the PDI (Portable Data for Imaging) module which allows for importing and exporting referral patient CDs, according to the Herndon, Va.-based company. It also includes the ability to set different window and level settings for clear or blue-based film.
