RSNA: PACSGear introduces GearViewQC

PACSGear (Booth 7721) will launch the GearView QC, a PACS quality control tool that provides functionality for viewing, importing, editing, printing, burning and sending DICOM studies to PACS at the 2009 Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) meeting in Chicago.

Based on its GearView product, GearView QC lets PACS administrators fix common demographic errors in any DICOM field, as well as visually edit studies to split/combine exams or add/remove images. Studies can also be anonymized by masking burned-in annotations.

Stacker, an optional robotic disc reader, can be added to automate the manual process of importing DICOM CDs/DVDs. Stacker can process up to 50 CDs/DVDs in a single batch, according to the Pleasanton, Calif.-based PACSGear.
