RSNA: Resonance Technology unveils MRI peripherals
Resonance Technology of Northridge, Calif., an MRI-compatible technology company, is introducing a new entertainment delivery system for the MRI environment, as well as a high-resolution functional MRI (fMRI) panel at the 2009 Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) conference.
Resonance said its MRI video entertainment product, CinemaVision, will be a video panel/reflective entertainment viewing system that supports patient positioning. The system combines an adjustable high-resolution panel mounted inside the MRI bore and a mirrored audio/video headset for delivering all-digital entertainment to the patient. The CinemaVision system delivers digital 240,000 pixel video resolution and stereo sound from digital media and live television.
The company also will introduce to its family of VisuaStim fMRI products--a high-definition LCD panel with 1280 x 1024 dpi images and low signal-to-noise ratio. The panel features two built-in eye-tracking cameras for vision monitoring, and is compatible with Siemens Healthcare’s 32-channel brain imaging coil.
