SCAR launches new expert online service

The Society for Computer Applications in Radiology (SCAR) has launched a new online resource -- the SCAR Expert Hotline.

The question-and-answer resource, previously available only to SCAR members in print format, now will be archived and updated online for access by both members and non-members. The online source provides information on PACS technology and clinical implementation of information systems in imaging.

Searching and viewing the service is free and available at  www.scarnet.org. The organization says that members will be able to post questions to the site free of charge, while non-members can post for a $125 fee, which includes a one-year membership in SCAR.

The new technology shows early potential to make a significant impact on imaging workflows and patient care.
