ScImage to offer Array film digitizer

ScImage has added Array Corp. USA's 2905 laser film digitizer to its product offerings.

ScImage is known for its PICOMEnterprise shared infrastructure approach to capturing images and information from any department within a healthcare enterprise. PICOMEnterprise is designed to seamlessly integrate existing HIS/RIS solutions within a web-enabled foundation, combining PACS, 3D visualization, cardiology imaging, custom reporting, offsite disaster recovery and telemedicine functionality.

Scimage said that adding the Array 2905 to its offering "will assist ScImage in providing a more complete solution to customers by providing additional options to achieve clinical workflow goals."

The Array 2905 laser film digitizer uses precise optics and a helium neon laser to capture medical x-ray images. The system scans 14-in. by 17-in. film at 2K resolution in seven seconds.
