Siemens adds cardio apps to ultrasound offering

Siemens Healthcare has upgraded its ultrasound offering, the Acuson S2000, with the addition of applications for vascular and cardiac imaging.

The cardiovascular updates will facilitate intracardiac echocardiography with the Acuson AcuNav ultrasound catheter, and enable simultaneous viewing of B-mode and color Doppler images, said the Malvern, Pa.-based company. The system also will offer anatomical M-mode imaging, stress echo and clip capture enhancements, Siemens added.
