Siemens' Soarian a part of HIMSS IHE Interoperability Showcases

Siemens Medical Solutions is showcasing the capabilities of Soarian in supporting the Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) cross-enterprise document sharing profile by participating in the IHE Interoperability Showcases at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) conference, Feb. 13 - 17, in Dallas.

Connecting clinicians using interoperable EHR products and standards so that they can share patient data will be the focus of the Interoperability Showcases at HIMSS. Conference attendees will be able to create and manage their own virtual health record and then visit select vendor exhibit booths to access their records and see how different companies incorporate IHE - and thus interoperability - into their products.

Soarian integrates clinical, financial, diagnostic and administrative and synchronizes them across the health enterprise. Its user interface is designed to accommodate tasks based on the roles of individual users and it has embedded analytics allow users to monitor and measure an enterprise's performance.

Additionally, Soarian brings together images and data from a variety of medical modalities in one location, Siemens said.
