Siemens unveils new ultrasound technology

Siemens Healthcare has released its new ultrasound system, the Acuson S2000, a multi-specialty system for applications including general imaging, obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN), as well as vascular and cardiac imaging. 

The new system will offer Virtual Touch HD technology for tissue quantification, the second generation implementation of Acoustic Radiation Forced Impulse imaging, as well as Cadence contrast agent technology for detection and display of contrast agents and 3D/4D imaging capabilities, stated the Malvern, Pa.-based company.
