Solis taps Lander as new CMO

Solis Women's Health has appointed Marla R. Lander, MD, as its chief medical officer (CMO). Lander replaces Timothy Freer, MD, the founder of Solis' predecessor organization, and the first CMO of Solis, who has now retired, the firm said.

Lander is also the lead physician at the Solis Breast Health Center in Indio, Calif., as well as being responsible for the newly opened Solis Mammography Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif.

She is board certified in radiology, and has completed three fellowships in breast imaging, including one in Falun, Sweden. Lander has been a leader in screening and diagnosis of breast cancer in the Palm Springs area for twelve years, according to the Austin, Texas-based Solis.
