SonoSite opens international direct subsidiaries

SonoSite Inc. is expanding outside of the United States, with the opening of direct subsidiaries in Tokyo; Sydney, Australia; and Toronto, Canada.

Gregory J. Brand will serve as managing director of SonoSite Australasia Pty Ltd. Brand most recently served as managing director for Philips Medical Systems Australasia, where he managed the company's full line of medical technology, including ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine, x-ray and patient monitoring. Prior to Philips, Brand served as vice president of Asia Pacific for the former ATL Ultrasound.

In addition, Drew M. D'Aguilar will take the post of general manager of SonoSite Canada Inc. D'Aguilar joins SonoSite from ISM Inc., where he held the position of national sales manager for Canada for the ultrasound line. He also served as a regional sales manager and country manager for Philips Medical Systems, Canada. Prior to Philips, he served at the former ATL Ultrasound as general manager for the company's business in Canada.
